Antique Cluny Bobbin Lace Net Bedspread & Pillow Sham. |
This antique cluny bobbin lace net bedspread and pillow sham set dates from the 1920s. It is made of an off white light ecru color sheer cotton net, with cluny bobbin lace work trim inserts. There are decorative diamond shaped medallion lace designs done in the center. This lovely lace bedspread bed cover is a work of art and would have been used in a lady's private boudoir bedroom. The bedspread measures 80 inches long, 60 inches wide, with an additional 20 inch drape dust ruffle on each side including the bottom end. Included is a matching long pillow sham cover which measures 92 inches long and 30 inches wide. The set is in good condition, but has not been cleaned and has a few faint age, water spot stains and a couple of tiny pin holes. It is a wonderful piece of antique lace textile art.
