This antique Victorian era paisley shawl steel cut beaded purse dates from 1890. It is made of a jacquard hand loomed woven wool paisley fabric, with hand beaded steel cut beads outlining the paisley pattern design. There is steel beaded loop fringe trim sewn around the entire bag. This beautiful beaded purse bag has a drawstring closure, with silver chain strap on top for carrying and is fully lined in green silk, with beading along the inside opening. The purse measures 11 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. It is in good condition, with only some missing beaded fringe from the bottom. It is a wonderful piece of antique beaded paisley textile art. $150 |
