This vintage Whiting & Davis mesh bags Art Deco purse dates from the 1920s. It is made of a fine silver metal mesh woven linked chain mail, with a colorful painted floral and striped pattern. There is a Art Deco design geometric gold metal frame stamped "Whiting & Davis Co. Mesh Bags", with a gold metal chain attached to the top for carrying. The inside is fully lined in a peachy pink blush color silk fabric. This enchanting evening bag fabulous flapper purse measures 8 inches high and 6 inches wide. It is in excellent condition, with only a tiny tarnish spot on both sides of the scalloped bottom trim (see close-up).
