Edwardian White Kid Leather Long Opera Gloves Lot. |
This lot of 3 pairs of unworn vintage Edwardian Titanic era white kid leather long opera gloves date from 1912. They are hand stitched, made of a soft supple white kid leather. These elegant evening opera gloves are a long arm length, over the elbow, with fitted fingers, three lines stitched across the back of the hand and three mother of pearl button closures inside. The first pair are stamped inside "The Marvex" size 5 3/4 and have the original paper label tag attached from B. Altman & Co. New York. The gloves measure 29 inches long and 4 inches wide. The second pair are stamped inside "Reynier Grand Prix Paris 1900" and "Le Suede Louvre" size 6. The gloves measure 26 inches long and 5 inches wide. The third pair are also stamped inside "Reynier Grand Prix Paris 1900" size 6 1/4". The gloves measure 23 1/2 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide. They are all in excellent wearable condition and have never been worn. There is some slight soiling from dust and storage.
