This antique tambour embroidery net lace silk applique bedspread dates from the 1920s. It is made of an off white ecru cream color sheer fine net, with chain stitch tambour embroidery work, drawn cut work and pastel sheer silk applique flower trim inserts. This lovely lace bedspread bed cover is a work of art and would have been used in a lady's private boudoir bedroom. It has a pretty floral vine leaf design, embroidered scalloped dust ruffle side edging and a built in pillow sham going across the top. The bedspread measures 110 inches long, and 60 inches wide, with additional 17 inch side ruffles. It is in good useable condition, but has not been cleaned, with a few tiny pin holes and faint age spots on the netting. This beautiful bedspread is a wonderful piece of antique lace textile art.
