This antique Chinese kesi silk jifu Longpao dragon robe remnant textile dates from the early 1800s during the Qing Dynasty. It is all hand stitched and made of a colorful cut silk kesi weave fabric, with a woven tapestry pictorial design. There are are two "long" five clawed dragons, clouds, pearls, flowers, bats for happiness, the swastika character for longevity and waves of water along the bottom ends. There is a black and gold silk weave brocade trim border edging. This unique textile fragment remnant has been pieced together from a Imperial Manchu dragon jifu coat court robe. There is some blue silk lining the back. The textile measures 13 1/4 inches wide and 11 1/4 inches high. It is in good condition. This is truly a rare one of a kind piece of early antique Chinese textile art.
