Antique Chinese Coin Jade Bead Tassel Wicker Basket Scent Perfume Bottle Purse
This antique Chinese coin jade bead tassel wicker basket scent perfume herb bottle purse dates from the late Qing Dynasty during the early 1900s. It is made of woven wicker cane created into a small basket bottle, with wood lining inside. There are green jade glass beads, old Chinese coins and a green silk tassel hanging down from the bottom. This small unique gourd shaped basket bottle style vessel purse has a woven straw corked stopper on the top and might have been used to hold liquids, perhaps perfume, herbs or snuff. The basket measures 5 inches tall and 8 inches in circumference. It is in good condition, with some slight wear and aged patina. There are a few nicks, chips along the top opening. It is a wonderful one of a kind piece of antique Chinese art!
