It is hand stitched, made of a reddish pinkish purple fuchsia color silk fabric background, with colorful pastel silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work. There are a variety of colorful lush foliage flowers and a peacock bird surrounded by a garden of flowers, birds and a butterfly in the center roundel medallion. The peacock is a symbol of beauty and dignity. It is fully lined and backed in a white fine linen fabric. The embroidered fabric square measures 56 by 56 inches and is in good condition, with only a few missing stitches which are difficult to see.
