This vintage Nettie Rosenstein silk brocade tapestry velvet handbag purse dates from the 1950s. It is made of a colorful metallic sheen silk brocade fabric with an Italian tapestry woven floral bird motif design pattern. There is a green velvet covered top clasp closure, handle strap and trim edging. This pretty purse handbag has a squared shape and is fully lined in a soft white kid leather with a "Nettie Rosenstein" Made in Florence Italy label inside. Nettie Rosenstein was an important fashion designer known for designing the inaugural gowns for Mrs. Mamie Eisenhower. The purse measures 10 inches tall and 10 inches wide. It is in excellent condition and looks to have never been used. This is truly a rare quality made and wonderful piece of wearable art!
