These antique Victorian era gentlemen's Walker's blue and gold silk embroidered braces suspenders date from 1882. They are made of bright royal blue silk, with red rosebuds & white flowers done in raised padded satin stitch embroidery work. The suspenders are backed in a gold silk satin fabric, with white kid leather button loop attachments, a "T Walker's Patented 1882" stamped hardware and engraved gold metal adjustable buckle brackets. The suspenders measure 34 inches long and are 1 1/2 inches wide. These beautiful braces are in good wearable condition, with only some wear on the back elastic trim and fraying of the button loops. This is truly a wonderful piece of men's Victoriana textile art!
