This Edwardian era antique white eyelet linen carved wood duck handle parasol dates from 1910. It is made of an off white cream color linen fabric, with eyelet cut work done in a floral and ribbon bow pattern design. There is a hand carved, painted wood handle of a mallard duck head and a metal capped tip finial top. This pretty parasol umbrella has a pagoda dome shape. The parasol measures 39 inches long and 112 inches in circumference when opened. It is in good useable condition, with only some slight age spotting discoloration along the folds from storage and has not been cleaned. One of the ducks glass eyes is missing. This is truly a rare and wonderful parasol perfect for an Edwardian era ladies summer outing! |
