This antique Damasco S. Leucio damask hand painted putti peacock bedspread dates from the 1930s. It is made of a pastel light baby blue brocade rococo pattern silk rayon damask fabric, with a colorful pastel hand painted design. There is an Italian inspired ethereal scene of putti putto cupid angels, a pretty women reclining, peacock, birds, butterflies, roses and flowers. This beautiful boudoir bed cover bedspread has blue chenille fringe tassel trim edging, "Damasco S. Leucio" woven along the sides and has no backing or lining. It has wonderful workmanship, with an elegant elaborate painted design. The bedspread measures 95 by 84 inches. It is in good useable condition and came straight out of a trunk. This is truly a unique piece of antique Italian textile art! $150 |
