This Edwardian era antique black cotton ecru embroidered carved ebony handle summer parasol dates from 1910. It is made of a black cotton batiste fabric, with ecru tambour chain stitch embroidery work done in a floral vine leaf pattern and a bottom ruffle trim. There is a hand carved black ebony wood curled handle and metal capped tip finial top with gathered scrunchie fabric trim. This pretty parasol umbrella is lined in black silk, with a black metal frame inside. The parasol measures 34 inches long and 88 inches in circumference when opened. It is in good useable condition, with only a small crack in the handle loop bottom (see close-up). This is truly a rare and wonderful parasol perfect for an Edwardian era summer outing!
