These antique Victorian era gentlemen's needlepoint embroidered suspenders braces date from 1890. They are hand made of needlepoint embroidery work with colorful wool yarn and a floral rose leaf design. There is a red and gold twisted rope trim border edging. The suspenders are backed in a cotton twill fabric, with white kid leather button loop attachments on front & back, elastic band straps and silver metal hardware adjustable brackets. The suspenders measure 34 inches long and are 1 1/2 inches wide. These beautiful braces suspenders are in good wearable condition, with only some minor wear and faint foxing age spotting. This is truly a wonderful piece of men's Victoriana wearable textile art!
