This antique Chinese silk embroidered beaded tassel snuff bottle pouch purse dates from the late 19th century during the Qing Dynasty. It is hand stitched and made of colorful pieced patchwork silk fabrics, with colorful raised padded satin stitch embroidery work designs of butterflies, birds and flowers. This pretty pouch purse bag has a unique shape, with red and green silk tassel trim, tiny jade beads and string loop at top for carrying. The purse might have been used to hold a snuff bottle or other small treasure, but has been sewn shut along the top. It measures 5 1/2 by 5 inches and is in good condition, with only some wear to the silk fringe tassels. This is truly a beautiful one of a kind piece of antique Chinese textile art!
