Victorian Antique Embroidered Forget-me-not Flowers Bell Pull & Hardware. This antique Victorian era embroidered forget-me-not flowers bell pull and hardware dates from 1900. It is made of a black wool fabric background, with hand embroidery needlework done in a blue forget-me-not flower and leaf design. It is lined and backed in black wool, with blue silk rope cord trim edging.

This antique Victorian era embroidered forget-me-not flowers bell pull and hardware dates from 1900. It is made of a black wool fabric background, with hand embroidery needlework done in a blue forget-me-not flower and leaf design. It is lined and backed in black wool, with blue silk rope cord trim edging. This magnificent bell pull has the original Art Nouveau floral design, gold finished metal hardware bracket attached onto the top for hanging, with a blue silk rope tassel pull hanging from the bottom bracket. Bell pulls were widely used in the Victorian era as a doorbell of sorts used to summon workers in homes of people who had butlers, maids or other servants. This beautiful bell pull measures 58 inches long, which appears to have been shortened since some of the embroidery work is folded over on the back and is 4 inches wide. It is in good condition. This is truly a rare find of and wonderful piece of antique textile art!
