Antique White Battenburg Tape Lace Net Bedspread. Tweet

This antique white battenburg tape lace net bedspread dates from the 1920s. It is made of a off white sheer cotton net fabric, with battenburg tape lace work trim inserts, connecting brides and bars. There is a decorative diamond shaped medallion lace design center and flowers surrounding it. This lovely lace bedspread bed cover is a work of art and would have been used in a lady's private boudoir bedroom. The twin size bedspread measures 76 inches long, 50 inches wide, with an additional 16 inch drape dust ruffle on each side including the bottom end. It is in good condition, with two small mended repairs near the top (see close-ups). This is a wonderful piece of antique lace textile art!
