This antique silver plate repousse cherub cupid frame French silk brocade fabric purse dates from 1915. The silver plate frame has a decorative raised relief repousse chasing embossing rococo design with grape vines and angelic chubby cherub cupids on both sides. There is a silver ball clasp closure on the top and chain link strap. The purse is made of a colorful striped silk damask brocade fabric with a floral pattern design and is fully lined in green silk with pastel silk rosette floral trim edging sewn inside. The purse measures 9 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. It is in good condition, with only minor wear. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
