This antique Victorian era sewing shoe etui needle case thimble holder dates from the 1860s. It is hand stitched, made of brown leather with blue silk trim edging, bow accents on the front instep vamp and back heel. This rare etui sewing case has been created into a single cube heel shoe, with back tie for opening up and exposing a wool patch pad for holding needles sandwiched inside the inner sole. It has implement tools which include a silver thimble, spool of thread and needle cases. The shoe measures 5 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. It is in good condition, with only some wear along the blue silk ribbon edging which is frayed and missing in areas. This is truly an amazing and rare unique piece of collectible antique sewing necessaire!
