This antique Edwardian era eyelet embroidered white linen wood handle summer parasol dates from 1910. It is made of white linen fabric, with eyelet cut work and raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work. There is a floral daisy design and monogrammed initials "FG" inside the front shield. This pretty parasol umbrella has a white washed painted wood handle, with metal frame inside, celluloid tips, original button strap for keeping closed, cream tassel trim pair and finial top with gathered scrunchie fabric trim. The parasol measures 40 inches long and 104 inches in circumference when opened. It is in good usable condition, with only some slight faint yellowing discoloration along the folds from storage. This is truly a wonderful parasol perfect for an Edwardian era ladies tea party, stroll on the beach or summer outing! |
