This antique Chinese red silk gold couching bat, ji, swastika fan case holder purse dates from the mid 19th century during the Qing Dynasty. It is hand stitched, made of a red silk fabric, with gold metallic thread couching embroidery work, in which tiny red stitches hold the couching work together giving it a contrasting copper color appearance. There are precious objects of coins, bats, ji & xi characters for luck, joy and the swastika for longevity.

This antique Chinese red silk gold couching bat, ji, swastika fan case holder purse dates from the mid 19th century during the Qing Dynasty.
