It is hand stitched, made of a dark midnight blue silk fabric background, with colorful silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work.

It is hand stitched, made of a dark midnight blue silk fabric background, with colorful silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work. There are a variety of intricately, densely embroidered flowers, peony, lotus and vases, with a woven silk trim edging. This lot of 4 pieces of matching embroidered silk trim remnants would have been used on a Manchu robe for added decoration and symbolism. It is in good condition, with only some slight fraying. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Chinese textile art!
