Antique Chinese Woven Silk Sewing Scissors Etui Pouch Bag Needle Case Chatelaine
This antique Chinese woven silk sewing etui scissors pouch needle case chatelaine dates from the 1920s. It is hand stitched and made of earlier antique Chinese weave silk fabrics perhaps cut from a civil rank badge, with black and white woven designs of bats, a bird wing, waves of water, Xi character for joy and swastika character for longevity. This stunning sewing etui chatelaine includes a small pouch bag, needle case book, scissors with case, round disk pin cushion and are connected together with a blue silk rope knotted with red beads and would have been attached to a belt worn at the waist. It measures 22 inches long and is in good condition. This is truly a beautiful one of a kind piece of antique Chinese sewing textile art
