This antique silver plate repousse dog cart frame floral needlepoint embroidery purse dates from 1915. The silver plate frame has a decorative raised relief repousse chasing embossed designs of dogs, children, dog cart chariot races done on both sides. There is a dog paw silver ball clasp closure on the top and chain link strap. The purse is made of varying shades of blue and brown silk thread needlepoint embroidery work with a floral pattern design. It is lined in a blue silk fabric with silver metallic lace trim edging sewn inside and a pair of gray silk gauntlet gloves found inside. The purse measures 8 inches tall and 9 inches wide. It is in good condition, with some splits inside on the blue silk lining, a frayed loose cord binding along the bottom and a few tiny frays along the top frame (see close-ups).
