This antique Chinese cross stitch embroidery black and white miser coin pouch purse dates from the 19th century during the Qing Dynasty. It is hand stitched, made of a blue silk fabric, with white silk weave pockets on either end and tiny black cross stitch embroidery work. There are lotus flowers, a symbol of purity on one end and shrine garden scene on the other end.

This antique Chinese cross stitch embroidery black and white miser coin pouch purse dates from the 19th century during the Qing Dynasty. This small unique long miser style coin purse pouch has a slit opening in the center for storing money and is lined in a white fabric, with pocket storage on the ends, trimmed with black & gold silk rope braiding. These pouches also called pockets were meant to hold small things such as coins or seals since there were no pockets on the clothing. The purse measures 11 inches long and is 3 1/2 inches wide. It is in good condition and is slightly frayed along the top border edging. This is truly a wonderful one of a kind piece of antique Chinese textile art!
