It is made of a linen fabric, completely covered with silver, gold, copper metal thread hand embroidery work done in tambour chain stitch crewel needlework. There are embroidered flowers, boteh paisley designs, Arabic lettering and the Tugra of Mehmed VI the 36th and last sultan of the Ottoman Empire in the center roundel medallion. This exquisite envelope clutch purse has a fold over style with no closure and is fully lined in a black silk fabric. The purse measures 8 inches long and is 5 inches wide. It is in good condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Ottoman Turkish textile art!
