This antique Victorian era cream silk carved chain link wrapped handle parasol tassel trim dates from the 1870s. It is made of an off white cream color silk fabric with a scalloped edging. There is a decorative carved relief bone handle, with a raised chain link design wrapped around it, ball base and finial top. This pretty parasol has cream silk rope tassel trim wrapped and hanging down from the bottom. It is lined in a white silk fabric. The parasol measures 26 inches long and is 72 inches in circumference when opened up. It is in as-is fair condition, with several splits in the outer silk fabric and inside lining (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful wedding parasol which could be recovered and is in fine working order!
