This exquisite antique Victorian era 18th century style silk chenille brocade Jacobean fringed shawl throw dates from 1900. It is made of an off white cream color silk damask weave brocade fabric, with a colorful chenille floral vine leaf tree of life Jacobean style 18th century inspired design and gold, silver metallic lamé threads woven throughout for accent details. This fabulous textile has hand knotted cream color silk fringe trim surrounding it and might have been used as a piano shawl, throw, is fully lined and quite heavy weighing over 4 pounds. The fabric square measures 44 by 48 inches and the fringe trim is 17 inches long. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a rare and exceptional piece of Jacobean antique textile art!
