This vintage antique Andean Bolivian chuspa coca wool weave hand loom woven horses boho bag dates from the mid 19th century. It is made of a colorful natural dye wool weave fabric in prominent shades of red and orange, with a woven horse, geometric pattern and decorative designs. The boho bag small purse has a red braided woven strap at the top for carrying, a small outer coin pouch pocket on one side and a multi-color striped edging trim along the bottom with fringe ball knotted ends. These unique chuspa small bags were often made from leftover weaving pieces and held dry coca leaf, coins and would have been used during festivities and ceremonies. The bag measures 7 by 6 inches. It is in good condition, with only some minor wear and is missing the tassel ball fringe from one corner. This is truly a wonderful piece of Andean Bolivian hand loomed textile folk art! $150 |
