This antique embroidered patchwork gold bullion round tablecloth textile fabrics date from the 18th century and was perhaps constructed during the 19th century.

This antique embroidered patchwork gold bullion round tablecloth textile fabrics date from the 18th century and was perhaps constructed during the 19th century. It is made of a patchwork of pieced colorful silk, velvet and cotton brocade fabrics, with gold metallic lace appliqué trimmings. The floral brocades have been hand embroidered over highlighting the flowers, with decorative stitching and quilting. This unique patchwork, crazy quilt style embellished textile is a sampler of needlework techniques, with a gold bullion fringe trim surrounding it and backed in a dark red burgundy cotton fabric lining. The round tablecloth table cover measures 32 inches wide, with 3 1/2 inch fringe trim edging. It is in good condition, with only some slight fraying, wear and faint stains on the fabric pieces (see close-ups). This is truly a rare and amazing one of a kind piece of 18th century antique textile art!
