This antique Victorian era Riley & Lyn needlepoint leather strap bedroll dates from 1870. It is made of leather straps, with an off white kid leather backing colorful needlepoint hand embroidered decorative floral garland designs on the fronts and the monogrammed initials "KDW" on the top. This beautiful bedroll braces used for traveling and holding bedding blankets has adjustable buckle strap closures underneath and a sturdy leather strap handle on top for carrying with gold brass fixtures stamped "Riley & Lyn Patent 1870". The needlepoint straps measure 2 1/2 inches wide, 16 inches long and is 12 inches across the top handle. It is in good as-is condition, with some wear and one leather strap is frayed missing the bottom piece (see close-up). This is truly a rare and amazing piece of early Americana antique needlepoint textile art!
