This
antique Victorian era green bronze beaded black lace cape capelet
dates from 1890. It is made of a black silk grosgrain ribbed fabric
covered with an iridescent green bronze beading webbed mesh netting.
There are sheer black chantilly lace trim sides and bottom. This
beautiful beaded short cape style capelet mantle has a high neck
collar and long strands of beaded fringe hanging down. The inside
is lined in black silk, with hooks and eyes down the front for closure.
The cape measures 45 inches in circumference along the bottom, with
a 15 inch neck and 34 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition,
with several missing strands of beaded fringe.
