This exquisite antique Victorian era lilac coutil ribbon lace corset cover bodice dates from the 1890s. It is made of a pale purple lilac color cotton coutil fabric, with white lace trim and black silk velvet ribbon trim edging accents. This lovely lingerie fitted corsetwasit corset cover has a high bust, with shoulder straps to support the breasts and back, cording stitching for figure support, hooks & eyes down the front for closure, a squared neckline and skirted bottom. It is fully lined in a white coutil canvas fabric with cording stitching inside. The corset measures 20 inches long, with a 28 inch waist and 34 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with some faint age spotting on the fabric and a few darker age spot stains from storage near the lace (see close-ups). This a wonderful piece of wearable Victoriana and a rare find. $350 |
