This antique Edwardian era raw silk walking suit jacket skirt dates from 1910. It is made of an off white ecru cream color fine quality raw silk fabric, with black silk trim and decorative black silk button accents. This lovely two piece ladies tailored travel walking suit includes a long mid length duster princess style coat jacket, with a fitted waist, flared skirt bottom, wide lapel collar, gathered shoulders, long tapered sleeves, with button trim cuffs and black silk buttons for closure down the front. It is fully lined in a pale blush pink color silk satin fabric, with weighted hemline. The jacket measures 33 inches long, with a 30 inch waist, 38 inch bust, 14 inch back and 23 inch long sleeves. Included is a matching fabric long floor length skirt, with pleating details and hook & eye closures. The skirt measures 37 inches long, with 36 inch hips and a 26 inch waist. This wonderful women's walking suit would have been worn for travel. It is in excellent clean wearable condition, with only some slight fraying along the silk inside neck lining and on the black silk buttons. This is truly a quality made luxurious ladies walking suit.
