This Edwardian Titanic era green silk silver lamé brocade Grecian gown dress dates from 1912. It is made of a pale pastel bluish, grayish, laurel green color silk silver lamé brocade fabric, with an abstract floral pattern design. The fabric is luxurious and quality made. This gorgeous Grecian Goddess style elegant evening gown dress is floor length, sleeveless, with plunging V necklines and a pleated silk front insert, a silver lamé belted waistband, cream silk front skirt panel, weighted hemline and back train skirt. It is fully lined in silk, with hook & eye closures down the back. The dress measures 60 inches long in the front, 68 inches long in the back, with 36 inch hips, a 26 inch waist and 38 inch bust. It is in as-is fair condition and could use some restoration. There are a few frays along the shoulder straps and under the arm seam (see close-up). The inside silk lining is frayed and needs to be reattached at the waistband. It could be used for parts, pieces, study, pattern, design or remade into something new. This is truly a wonderful piece of Titanic textile art! |
