This vintage Edwardian Titanic era Antoinette C. Worrall yellow muslin white beaded dress dates from 1912. It is made of a sheer pale light yellow cotton muslin fabric, with white beading and embroidery work, done in a decorative circular bullseye pattern design. This stunning summer dress is a long tea length, with a layered overlay open front jacket middy top style, net yoke front insert, squared neckline, sailor collar, long sleeves, smocking gathers at waist and a beaded back drape panel skirt. The top is lined, the skirt unlined, with hook and snap closures. There is a "Antoinette C. Worrall 734 Fifth Ave. New York" designer label sewn inside. The dress measures 48 inches long, with 38 inch hips, a 28 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a tiny fray on the front skirt. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable beaded art! |
