It is made of a sheer black net, with a raised off white cream color embroidered chain stitch, soutache work done in a scrolling spiral floral leaf pattern design.

This vintage Italy black net cream soutache embroidered lace dress blouse and skirt set dates from the 1960s. It is made of a sheer black net, with a raised off white cream color embroidered chain stitch, soutache work done in a scrolling spiral floral leaf pattern design. This lovely lace two piece dress outfit includes a loose fitting blouse top, with a W shape front neckline, cap sleeves and side zipper closure. It is sheer and unlined, with a "Made in Italy" label sewn inside. The top measures 21 inches long, with a 34 inch waist and 38 inch bust. There is a matching embroidered fabric pencil skirt, sheer, unlined, with side slits and zipper closure. The skirt measures 25 inches long, with 34 inch hips and a 28 inch waist. Both are in good condition, but have not been cleaned, the top has a small faint age spot stain on the front. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable lace textile art!
