This Edwardian era antique white irish crochet tape lace bodice blouse dates from 1910. It is made of a white sheer irish crochet tape lace with detailed meshwork, net, raised three dimensional floral buds leaf designs and open cut work. There is a patchwork of various styles of handmade laces and techniques. This lovely lace beautiful bodice blouse top has a fitted high neck layered lace scalloped collar, peplum skirted net bottom, long full tapered sleeves and pearl buttons down the back for closure. It is sheer and unlined. The blouse measures 18 inches long, with a 28 inch waist, 38 inch bust, 15 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with some faint age spot stains, a few small holes in the net, lace and a frayed shoulder rip (see close-up). This is truly an extraordinary piece of wearable antique lace art!
