This antique blonde silk net floral embroidery lace fringe mantilla Spanish shawl dates from the the 1920s. It is made of a off white ecru cream color blonde fine sheer silk net, with a woven embroidered floral vine leaf lace pattern. This lovely lace has a lavishly lush floral design throughout, a scalloped border edging and hand knotted cream silk fringe surrounding it. The shawl has been created into a square shape shawl style scarf wrap veil Spanish mantilla, which the blonde color would have been appropriate for a church wedding or other ceremonial occasions. The shawl measures 58 by 48 inches and has 15 inch long fringe. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned and has a few tiny age spot stains & holes near the side edging (see close-up). This is truly a rare and exquisite piece of wearable antique lace art!
