This vintage Al-Karnak Jordan bedouin kaftan jalabiya thobe embroidered maxi dress dates from the 1970s. It is made of a black silky polyester fabric with black chain stitching embroidery work done in a floral pattern and red cross stitch embroidery work done in a geometric floral design on the bib top and diamond shapes appliquéd down the front skirt. There is a gold metallic lamé and rope trim edging. This beautiful bedouin kaftan maxi dress is a long floor length, loose fitting with a belted tie back, long kimono style sleeves with exaggerated points along the bottom and is unlined. There is an "Al-Karnak Made in Jordan" label sewn inside. The dress measures 58 inches long, with 60 inch hips, a 46 inch bust and 38 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Jordanian Arabic bedouin textile art!
