This vintage autumn burgundy red velvet silver lamé leaf trim wide brim cloche hat dates from the 1920s. The hat is made of a dark red burgundy wine orangish brown color velvet fabric, with silver lamé and ombre color leaf, bow trim surrounding the crown. There is an Art Deco decorative hatpin trimming the front. This autumn fall color inspired hat has an uneven asymmetrical oval shaped brim, which is wider along the sides and a muffin top slouched crown. It is fully lined, with black silk fabric and a "Newton Hat Shop Attleboro, MA" label inside. The hat measures 22 inches inside crown circumference and 34 inches outside. It is in good condition, with some wear and worn edges along the velvet nap brim and some soiling on the inside lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of quality made wearable textile millinery art!
