This Edwardian era vintage M. H. Loach natural woven straw green ribbon feather rosette wide brim hat dates from 1910. The hat is made of a woven natural straw with a green silk ribbon wide hatband trim, green and white feather rosette flower appliquéd trim with gold metallic wrapped wire stems attached around the crown. This sensational summer sun hat has slightly upturned sides, wide brim with rounded crown top and is fully lined, in a white silk fabric inside. There is a "M. H. Loach, 22 Centre St. Bath Maine" store label sewn inside. The hat measures 22 1/2 inches inside crown circumference, 44 inches outside and is 14 inches across the brim. It is in good as-is condition, with some loose molting, missing feathers, only one remaining brass stud trim center and some faint foxing age spot stains on the inside lining.
