This pair of Victorian era antique child's black wool straight sole dainty ankle half boots date from the 1850s. They are made of a black fine wool fabric, with brown elastic gathers gusset sides. These charming children's early high-low ankle length dainty half boots have a straight hard leather bottom sole, squared toes and a low stacked wooden cube heel. They are lined in linen. The boots measure 4 1/2 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide. They are in good condition, with a few tiny moth nip holes on the wool fabric and a small fray on the side gusset. These are truly a rare and early find which would make a wonderful display!
