This pair of antique Chinese royal blue silk embroidered floral slipper shoes date from the 1940s. They are made of a bright royal blue color silk fabric, with colorful floral silk raised padded satin stitch embroidery work and a bluish gray silk rope cord trim edging along the top. These slipper style slip-on shoes have hard leather bottom soles, embroidered blue silk covered heels and are fully lined in linen, with a "Made in China" size 7 ink mark stamped inside. The shoes measure 10 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 2 inch high heels. They have been gently worn and are in excellent condition. These are a wonderful piece of wearable antique Chinese textile art!
