Victorian Antique Black Chantilly Lace Carved Masonic Eye of God Handle Parasol
This antique Victorian era black chantilly lace carved Masonic Eye of God handle parasol dates from the 1870s. It is made of a sheer fine black net French chantilly lace, with a floral foliage leaf pattern outlined in black threads with detailed shading effects and a decorative scalloped border edging. There is a decorative carved relief bone handle, with engraved silver band and finial top with a carved Freemasonry Masonic eye decoration, which is symbolic of the Eye of God and the All Seeing Eye. It is fully lined and layered in pink, white silk and lace on top. The parasol measures 23 inches long and is 64 inches in circumference when opened up. It is in good useable condition, with only some age spot stains on the silk lining (see close-up). This is truly a rare find and unique Freemasonry inspired parasol!
