It is made of a canvas background, with a colorful beautifully hand done needlepoint petitpoint embroidery work portrait of an 18th century women inspired from the painting titled La Becquée d'aprés Greuze by French artist Jean Baptiste Greuze.

This antique 18th century inspired needlepoint petitpoint portrait Greuze French fabric dates from the 1920s. It is made of a canvas background, with a colorful beautifully hand done needlepoint petitpoint embroidery work portrait of an 18th century women inspired from the painting titled La Becquée d'aprés Greuze by French artist Jean Baptiste Greuze. This fabulous unused fabric has a oval shape suitable for framing or used as chair cushion back and is stamped "France" in the bottom corner. The fabric measure 37 by 35 inches and the embroidered oval is 60 inches in circumference. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of embroidered textile art!
